It is a well-crafted, frightening tale most expertly presented. It will make you wonder if you can ever know what you know for certain; it will explain what happens to all those things you've just put down and now can't find; it will help you to understand exactly how important you actually are in the great big scheme of things.
For me, the most chilling line from the book is, 'You'll never remember you forgot anything'.

If you appreciate Robert Sheckley at his best you will enjoy this. Not intended to suggest it's derivative---it's not. These stories are some of the most fresh and original SF I've read. If you enjoy tongue in cheek SF you'll love this. I read it with a smile on my face and yet, I deeply care about the characters and what happens to them.
Great writing in narrator's character, too. And Wightman understands that everything need not be explained. Try the sample and you, like I, will have found a new favorite author.
And, if you're a fan of apocalyptic SF, you have to read Selection Event. It will blow you away. YES, there are a few writers writing for kindle who have bothered to master their craft.
