When poor college student Rose Walsh gives out an inappropriate gag gift at her office Christmas party, it backfires horribly. The gift’s recipient is her boss, the esteemed president of Gio Corp., Vivian Tracey, and the only thing that can save Rose now is her smarts.
Instead of firing her, Vivian blackmails math major Rose into joining her on a business trip to New York to investigate an embezzlement. A week out of state with a woman she can barely stand seems like the last thing Rose wants to do with her winter vacation. Only, maybe Vivian is not as bad as she seems. Maybe they can even become friends…or more.

This book had me laughing and sitting at the edge of my chair since the beginning. Slight suspense and some great lines to get you "flipping the pages". I love how Rose had jokes and punch lines and the joke was just too funny. The banter between Rose and Vivian was great. Who would've thought Vivian is the person she is. I'm going to say so just buy and read. P.S. this book is pretty hotProduct details

You're Fired edition by Shaya Crabtree Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I was really surprised that this was the authors first book. I was hoping she had written more, because I was a big fan of this book. Her writing style is really smooth and her dialogue witty, all big pluses for me!
I was curious how Rose could do something so cringeworthy to her boss and not get fired, and I think the author was successful in making it seem believable.
The relationship building up from no strings to an actual relationship was a little bumpy for me, hence the 4 stars not 5. I say that because it was pretty clear in Rose’s head that this was just for fun and she was totally ok with that until they all of a sudden they were considered more without really discussing it. I guess I expected some sort of internal dialogue of her feeling differently before it was just decided that they were in a relationship all of a sudden.
I really liked the character of Vivian, probably because I like uptight women who are totally different in bed...
Recommendation I would tell others to buy it, not only to enjoy but to support a new author with real potential for this genre.
ARC Copy. Some off color jokes. There is a large amount of LGBT characters/friends considering the office setting. Rose is a pottymouth. (Just informative)
Main protag is bi and pretty loose. Pretty promiscuous and referenced often. Some people might not be too into that kind of past for a main character. I'm not holding that against her in the rating, just informing.
BUT Rose is uhhh....kind of a jerk? (She does get better gradually) I ended up liking Vivian much better and wondering why Rose couldn't just calm down a bit. She does improve by the end, but she always seems a bit wild.
Very sensual. Want lots of steamy scenes? This is your book. Once it starts it just never seems to stop. The conflict is resolved reasonably easy, considering how afraid of it I would be in real life, and then Vivian and Rose get back to other activities.
The reason why they like each other got lost a bit on me even if by the end it's mended more. Too much focus on sex? Maybe. Not understanding Vivian's attraction to jerks? Maybe. Seeing things from her point of view may have helped with that, but it's all from Rose's, and Rose is focusing on Vivian's butt. I think that is actually part of the storytelling however, because at the time it IS just about the sex. And Vivian is really hot so that works even if I am not the type of person to be in a relationship like that.
However, usually I start losing interest because the plot is taking forever and there's no romantic developments, but it turned out to be the opposite here. The sex scenes just kept coming. I almost gave it three stars because it was killing my interest, but once I got through them it picked up again and had a very sweet ending. Other readers probably won't have this problem.
I just love this book. It enraptured my heart. It was so sweet, and it made me smile. I loved the bickering.
Really cute and adorable. Could not stop reading the story. A must read if you love cute love stories like me
Okay, if you into reading about sex this is the book for you! The story line was very easy and predictable.
This was a great story for a laugh. I can't imagine ever giving a dildo as a gift at work. But the story was fantastic.
Good fun characters. Clear and entertaining storyline that kept moving forward. Best part though was the dialogue; Absolutely loved the repartee! A fun, easygoing romance that hits the spot)
